How many players are already in the portal are essentially are, 10? Roberts, Huff, Clarke, Haye, Franklin- top of my head.

Injuries top of my head: Rivers, Nelson, Van Dyke, Citizen, Chaney (limited if he's back), Parrish/Knighton have been game-to-game, Arroyo, Key Smith, Dennis, Steed, Stevenson has missed time, Lichtenstein has been out, Justice O is out, Taylor has been banged up, Harrison-Hunte was banged up.

Guys who would skip the bowl for draft: Stevenson is a maybe (stranger things), Mallory should bc he's always injured.

Walk-ons don't count. At one point Miami dressed 7 scholarship OL. Even the punter has missed a game.

After Pitt, win or lose, guys are jumping into the portal because it's open on the 5th but you better have your HS coach calling around for you long before the 5th in order to find a spot with 100's of dudes in the portal at FBS and FCS levels + JUCO and HS early signing mid Dec
 
Play to win the game. If you wish the season to be over, the portal is over there waiting. That's the mindset we need to flush out of the program, this "play when you want to" player mentality is the reason we lose to fiu, middle Tennessee. Why we are so perpetually understanding and see a glut of transfers working harder, caring more than homegrown players.

You can't have a championship team when winning isn't the only thing that matters and coaches have to cater to everything else. There are young players that want to win, want to compete and have the makeup to play at the level we need at Miami and they will benefit from the practices. Everyone else can sit or go away but you can't mortgage the future because of those players knowing what doing that has done over the years.
