that fact they are adamant on waiting until the end of the season tells me butch might not be the top option. waiting until end of year might mean they are waiting on a coach at another school. who knows with these losers but to me Butch is right in front of them.

The fact that they even mentioned an end of the year evaluation tells me the decision has already been made.

Randy, a couple weeks before he got fired - we didn't hear anything about that either.
 
I know one thing...it's a sign that they are too chicken**** to make a bold move in the name of winning. Pathetic.

This program has been in a state of disarray for way too long and it is well past time to rectify the situation.

Butch Davis is the only call that needs to be made...if he's on Sirius tomorrow I'll ******* call and hire him on the air for our AD.

Hoping and praying he wins all the remaining games so he won't have to fire him.
 
End of season refers to the date in the re-negotiated contract. The buyout continues if Al is not terminated before February 1, 2016. Yeah, that is ten days before signing day or thereabouts. So he still has UM by the balls unless there has been some deal since then. But there are probably ways to do his termination. They could terminate early but not make it effective until February 2, 2016. So they announce December 1 that his contract will be terminated effective February 2, 2016. I mean, I don't know the specifics of the contract but it seems doable to me.

I know everyone wants him gone today but that not the way UM does things and never has. You are exactly right, I've heard all I need to from Blake. Golden is gone.

On December 1, they could also announce Butch as HC in waiting, suspend Fraulden until he's terminated, and begin the changeover.
 
What is there to "evaluate"?

This means one of two things....

1. The decision is already made and he is gone;

2. Other factors are more important than winning i.e. keeping kids out of trouble and looking good in front of the camera.
