Pretty interesting here. Again, Bryce Young was just jaw-droppingly fantastic. I can’t say enough about that kid. In person, he was one of the most impressive college QBs I’ve ever seen in my entire life. But this should bode well for the rest of the season cause we won’t see Bama’s OL and we sure as **** won’t see another Bryce Young again.

Bryce Young is a good QB no doubt. But we didn't even make it tough on them. Leading from gun to tape and never needing to answer a score. Im not going overboard with the praise yet. He plays in Gainesville next in 2 weeks and later at A&M. Those teams have better coaches than us and will atleast know what it means to bracket a primary read. We will see what he does then

Yeah, you’d think he has to stub his toe somewhat during one of these true road games. But I thought he’d be a little spotty in his first start, and he was obscenely good. His very first throw was a little shaky, and I turned to my boy and kinda smiled cause we both talked about this for weeks like maybe early on the moment will be a little too big and it’ll take some time for him to get comfortable. Well, the very next play, his first 3rd down (3rd and 7 to boot) he stuffed that smile directly up my ***, and threw a ball to Metchie on the sideline that would make an NFL QB blush. Thrown before Metchie had even started his break, perfectly on the outside shoulder, completely uncoverable, and the rest is history.

But I’m very interested to watch him the next 4-5 weeks as well. History tells us he’s going to have some struggles. But in the 60 minutes I watched I could not have been more impressed.

What ppl are ignoring the MOST is Bryce Young's escapability and quick decision making skills. Ppl see we only had 1 sack and think our Dline played trash but dude threw out of at least 2 more "could-of-been" sacks at literally the very last sec. That's something that King needs to learn but I doubt he will at this point in his career.

He looked PREPARED

Whatever we threw at him, he was prepared for it

We got a first hand glimpse of what it’s like to have an elite coaching staff that has time to prepare. Don’t get me wrong though the kid played great, really impressed with him.

he didn’t panic he just patiently found the holes in our D

I wont ignore his talent. Its unquestionable. What am saying is he wont have every game where the opposing offense stunk the bed and the defense leave players running wide open through the secondary, pressure or no. If we played well and such i be like yeah, certified. We didn’t play well especially in the first half. I have seen QBs start gun blazing and went down hill from there. Turnovers all over the place. Jacory for example.

Can't say I was expecting that, but that's great. Against actual human qb's, this will actually help.

Yeah. Agreed. There were actual plays to be made. 2nd drive Diaz sends his best DB on a middle safety blitz, it opens up perfectly, Bubba whiffs. At worst, it’s a 10 yard loss and they have 3rd and 20+ outside their 30 yard line. At best, he fumbles. But instead it’s just a throw away. Very next play, Miami confuses Young and the ball hits Bubba directly in both hands in the back of the endzone. Drop. Field goal, and it’s 10-0 vs breaking out the chain and the sideline going nuts. In a game vs a team that is much more talented, you have zero margin for error. That was 2 plays in a row that change the complexion of the game, and we don’t make either one. With one of our 5 best players. Good times.

Agree with you though, keep pressuring the rest of the kids like this and good things will happen.

Stop. The officiating wasn’t trash but that play in the endzone was 100.0% NOT grounding. Just a smart play by a fantastic player.
Okay ..... I worded that wrong. I didn't mean that they got the call wrong. I'm giving Young props for reacting fast because if not, those 2 plays work in our favor. Those were split-second decisions by him and surprising for a "freshman" QB.

Shoot mane, Bama playing in ATL is essentially a home game. They get the complete red carpet treatment by the ownership/management folks at Mercedes Benz Stadium.

But I agree with your post, we will finish a lot of close pressure opportunities in ACC play. Heck we should've had at least 4 sacks vs Bama if the refs had shown that they would flag the holds on the OL.
