Emory da Gawd

Anyone else notice the crowd at last nights game? Aside from the band, I don’t think that stadium was at 5% capacity. Like overall attendance was probably 3,000 or less.

At what point will programs like UAB end their football teams because they can’t afford one? Will the big boys be forced to subsidize their farm systems?
****, UAB just "restarted" their program a couple of years ago.

UAB is under the university system of Alabama so I believe they already subsidize the program to an extent. Some years ago the Alabama board of Regents (or whatever their name is) shut down UAB's football program with the intention of funneling that extra money to Bama and Auburn. People throughout the state threw a fit and that decision got reversed like within a year.

I did not know that. I was referring to the entirety of G6 schools though, not just UAB/ECU. Do they not pay their players NIL money? I’m certain it’s nowhere near major P4 school payouts, but they get something, no? Maybe this is a nothing burger, but a LOT of P4 schools pull a lot of players from G6 schools during the portal. If the G6 starts shrinking, the farm system shrinks.

He signed with Miami when Manny was the DC for Penn State…

Emory played a good game. Losing their main wide receiver really hurt. They have zero depth at that position.

I tend to think Emory was concussed on that last play where he threw the pick six to end it in OT.

ECU has some very low IQ coaches. Their coaching staff did everything in their power to not win that game.

Then he was definitely concussed the second half of the Cheez it Bowl...

He's been concussed since 9th grade. He is a 3rd string QB at best.

If I was a **** like most slobbering, non-ball knower slurpers on this board, I’d bump a LOT more posts for those that aggressively went to bat for him 👀

Actually “respected” posters that dragged their nuts for him 😭

That was a sad sight. High school games In Alabama get more gate than UAB.

Legion Field is in terrible conditions. Next year it turns 100 and sadly it is way past its days of operation. No hand rails, bleachers are busted and bathrooms are usually broken people have gotten sick there from drinking water. It's also way to big for the fanbase and being Bama no longer plays there it's just been let go.
They don’t play at Legion anymore
