the only thing I will say about Emory is he spent time in the weight room. he looks good. mediocre player unfortunately
If we play against teams wuth slow qbs with noodle arms and average at best accuracy, sure he isEmory seems like he’d be a great teammate & a good, reliable scout team QB. Nothing wrong with that role.
@insaneinthecane @RVACane WHAT DID I SAYComplete wasted opportunity not getting Nickel some live reps.
These games against FCS opponents, especially the likes of Bethune Cookman, are nothing more than scrimmages.
Nickel should've played the entire 2nd half, there was absolutely no reason for Ember to take a snap in this game.
If we are winning big enough to see any backup QB next week, I am happy.Rather watch Nickel or Anderson next week in the 4th vs USF
Did you say the same thing when he dropped in a beautiful deep ball to moore that he dropped or Gilbert that he dropped twice? Sorry but sometimes dudes overthrow or under throw a pass. This isn't to say he has it or argue for him. But ur picking him apart for one pass. What did you say on the others when he made perfect throws?emory just doesn't have it. this is year 3 in the system and overthrowing wide open receivers against Bethune smh

As much as I would have like to have seen the Nickle get some reps, if you’re the head coach, you gotta give your back up the reps before your third stringer gets any burn.@insaneinthecane @RVACane WHAT DID I SAY
“Holy ******* **** I can’t believe he made a good throw”What did you say on the others when he made perfect throws?
Emory is nowhere near as much of an issue as people would believe. That's not saying you want him as your starting QB. It's saying if you HAD to go with him you can win with him as long as you adjust your approach.“Holy ******* **** I can’t believe he made a good throw”
He's just not QB1 material unfortunately, he does not process the game fast enough. Our QB1 next year will likely come out of the portal again unless Luke starts making huge strides in practice.the only thing I will say about Emory is he spent time in the weight room. he looks good. mediocre player unfortunately

He looks the same. The issue has never been “can he drop it in the bucket if he has a clean pocket and doesn’t have to come off his spot”On the pass to Ray Ray he saw him late, that was a seam route up the hash where the ball should’ve been released earlier.
We saw the deep ball touch on the pass to Moore which was a dime that should've been caught.
He looks better but he’s not the QB of the future if we want to compete like we expect to.
I hope we go portal and then let Coleman/Nickel compete in 2027.
