Elite football coach Tom Herman

It works both ways , just look at Coker , Gene Chizik, Terry Bowden etc.

Some coaches start out great and get exposed or flame out , others have to take over a mess. Not saying Richt will flame out , last year is who he’s been his entire career. Pretty good, but not elite / great:

Texas has been an abortion for years , you just don’t walk into that mess and fix it. Strong was trying but ran out of time, UT lockerroom was in shambles , bad character guys and he was trying get the roster flipped.

Herman will have to change the culture.

It’s also a terrible job for politics and boosters. Probably the most political program going.

I also think that states talent has been overrated of late.

I dont think Richt's record at UGA says he's another Coker. Also, Coker+Shannon+Golden+Probation is not a formula for success.

Is this the same Herman that UT fans over which UT fans were ruing the firing of Strong as of last week?

USC is major trash this year. Their rank was solely reputaion based.

Tom Herman is a Top 10 coach in the country.
Give it some time and he'll show he's average.

Top 10 coaches don't lose to less talented teams as much as he does. This would be big for his Texas future though with a win today

Ah yes, the narrative.

I don’t get the hate for dude, he’s an awesome coach. Great offensive mind , bedn a fan since he was at Osu. What he did with three QBs , was unreal. All of them had different skill sets.
