2027 Elijah Haven 5* QB from Baton Rouge, LA (Dunham School)

So SEC battle for him it would appear unless we drastically turn up the heat. Who else we after for 2027 beyond him and Seaborn?

Gunner Rivers was the other mentioned between 247 & On3 as a '27 target but all emphasized Seaborn as #1.

However Rivers recently set some visits for games and the 3 were to Alabama, Auburn & NCSt (pops alma mater).

For me, LSU and Georgia are perennial programs with expectations of winning and it’s more about coaches and how they respond through adversity.”

Who cares, it’s really stupid wasting time and money getting a QB from HS when the portal is available. You have to be a moron to pay top dollar for a HS QB. Get a three star QB from HS and pay top dollar and a proven QB from the portal.

Yep, it's been discussed often on this board. Trubisky, Haskins, et al - it's pretty full proof. Guys with 1 year or less of starts in college never do well.

I get your point and don’t disagree necessarily but Miami is proven quarterback from the portal, just threw 4 interceptions against Louisville.

And by the way, who might be the proven quarterbacks available next year? Credit to Mario for signing Cam and Carson, but both decided to come back to college after considering leaving for the NFL draft.

Lol terrible and lazy we have a top 5 paid quarterback in college football you think he’s worth it ? College football rosters builds are becoming more like the nfl everyday. You pay the big money now for haven and believe in your development so you don’t have to overpay for a beck.

And what do you do if he is not ready to play next year? U may still need to go portal. I wanna see one of the QBs we recruit be developed to play. Nickel, Emory or Judd etc. I dont think they can rely on a true FR

Haven is the type of true freshman you can rely on. **** we have to run out system now like a true freshman is playing qb with Beck. Always pay for elite talent

We lost 1 game ans suddenly Beck is true FR. It was a terrible game but some of you are so hyperbolic at times. We ain't 5-0 up to UL with a true FR. Michigan has a very talented true FR. How many games have they lost?

Our passing game is limited with Beck has been all season because our coaches don’t trust him to open it up. I’d take 3 years of underwood from Michigan over Beck for a season in a heartbeat.
