Elijah Arroyo, where do you cats rank him?

I don't understand how Jimmy is on any of these rankings in terms of what he did in college. He caught 17 total passes at Miami. He was drafted in the 3rd round based off projections not production.

It worked out well for the Saints although Jimmy screwed it up his WR stunt.

I think the view on “best/better” is subjective depending on what’s being argued about on this board.

Some base it on stats…impact or skill set.

I think there has to be a combination of all of it but TE can get grace on “impact” because a lot goes in to that’s beyond a particular player’s control.

As I pointed out in a previous post, Clive Walford is our all time stat leader from the TE perspective. He’s that in playing 4 years. He has better stats than some highly regarded Cane WRs as well but I dont anyone who watched them both play would choose Clive over Jimmy, respectfully. Even with Clive’s 120 catches compared to Jimmy’s 17 you could see a difference in athleticism and talent.

But we also have some that argue because X broke the receiving records he’s the best or in the discussion for being the best. Statistically speaking, Jacory Harris is one the top 3 QBs in UM history but who’s putting him on their Mt. Rushmore of QBs here? It really comes down to what matters to you when deciding.

Man, I am going to miss Arroyo. His numbers may not have been outstanding, but man, I could always count on that dude to do what was needed.
Where do you guys rank him in the long line of awesome TE we have produced? I would rank them as below. Thoughts?

Shockey
Olsen
Franks
Arroyo
Graham
Winslow-Because he was ****ed up.
Talent and ability wise he was definitely one of the highest potential TEs we’ve had.

However, it felt like he was a one year rental that was only driven leisurely on Sundays. He was hurt most of his career here and then understandably underutilized with all of the weapons we had last season.
