Man, I am going to miss Arroyo. His numbers may not have been outstanding, but man, I could always count on that dude to do what was needed.
Where do you guys rank him in the long line of awesome TE we have produced? I would rank them as below. Thoughts?

Shockey
Olsen
Franks
Arroyo
Graham
Winslow-Because he was ****ed up.

In terms of pure talent/ability

1. Kellen Winslow II
2. Jimmy Graham
3. Greg Olsen
4. Jeremy Shockey
5. Elijah Arroyo
6. David Njoku
7. Bubba Franks
8. Chris Herndon
9. Brevin Jordan
10. Will Mallory

In terms of career

1. Jimmy Graham
2. Greg Olsen
3. Jeremy Shockey
4. Kellen Winslow II
5. David Njoku
6. Bubba Franks

The rest are TBD, or probably won't play much more than they already do.

I think Arroyo has the potential to be as good, if not better than Joku, Winslow & Shockey.

The main battle for him will be health & playing in an Offense that utilizes the TE.

I think he has all that is needed to have an excellent career in the NFL. Whether the QB & playbook line up for him is another thing

Vastly undervalued Shockey. One of the key players who got us back on track. Jimmy Graham had a nice NFL career, but he was a basketball player who joined the team late and made himself projectable to the NFL. His Miami career is far less impactful than several on your list,

Not mad at it but for career Jimmy only played football here one year.

FWIW Clive Walford is our all time leading receiver at TE. He has more yards and TDs than Randall Hill and he has the exact same amount of yards and TDs as Eddie Brown. Still not in my top 5 but he was no slouch.

I’m going…
Shockey
Winslow… yeah, yeah I know
Olsen
Graham
Bubba

Had there been a concerted effort to do so Arroyo could have had the best season statistically of any TE we’ve had.

Yes! Was trying to remember his name. Walford!

We have been lucky to have a long list of good tight ends.

My list wasn't based on what they did at Miami.

I can’t put a guy who played one season in the top 5 maybe even top ten. I’m not taking about a guy who only played one season for us but had success before transferring here. I’m talking about a guy who played one season of college football, period. Just like I can’t put Jimmy Graham anywhere near the top 5 tight ends to play here.

I’m curious how well some of these guys might have played in a wide open Shannon Dawson offense with Cam Ward throwing them passes. Poor Greg Olsen had to play on some of the worst Miami offenses I modern history.

Coleman Bell deserves more credit. He was born 15y ahead of his time
