I’m not mad at it. You recruit and stack chips for that reason, to let the cream eventually rise and bring the best out of the others.

It’s when there is no competition, and kids are just given spots because there’s no one for them to battle with, is how you end up with a **** product on the field because kids know they are going to play no matter what. We have seen it around here far too often.
THIS

Cyrus Moss now this kid.

Hope Lightfoot doesn't follow the same trend.

To be fair though, even the bigger edge players we've signed have been scary.

Moss gone
Kelly gone
Wayne gone
Collins ABCDE gone
Malik Bryant's move doesn't seem to have done anything
Now Rudolph from 2024

Lotta numbers. Not a lot of production.
Malik Bryant hasnt Done anything ? You don’t Win against VT if Malik doesn’t make three Plays.
Don’t take away a credit from a kid. He contributed in 2024.

Saw a photo of him during the scrimmage and knew then he was gone. Kid is 215 lbs max.

Looks like a basketball player.

bruh dead ah, if you not top end (pause) idc if you transfer but good luck to you. To me these were always high transfer possibilities. Not everyone in Marios or anyone's recruiting classes are great, that's why every class we fall in love with a few that we think are it. Even in this portal most of the guys are just depth fillers, there aren't any Caleb Downs floating around the portal. There is always a few that the elite go after that are the most important.

Fair. He made a tackle on special teams that was definitely very valuable. I'm not ****ting on the kid, but let's be real here. He's been on the team for 2 seasons and his biggest contribution is a special teams tackle, although it was a very, very important one.

He was a blue-chip recruit, Top 200 overall player in the country. The production doesn't match the ranking, SO FAR. He's still on the roster, though, so he's got a chance. More than I can say about the rest of that list.

I think He showed flashes and a nice redshirt freshman campaign honestly for a reserve de. He’s a good player imo

Expected, but he made a few good plays in the spring game, best of luck to him

Of the speedsters, he was my favorite. I liked his upside even more than Lightfoot but knew he needed an extra year or two and in this day and age that’s a hard ask. I think we’re going to regret this one.

I know I’m in the minority, but I want 3-4 size DEs as my DEs. Stop the run dead in its tracks and let our back 7 get the turnovers.
