Elias Rudolph to Portal

These HS ends or tweeners that need weight haven’t been working out so much the last few years.

Best of luck Elias

Cyrus Moss now this kid.

Hope Lightfoot doesn't follow the same trend.

To be fair though, even the bigger edge players we've signed have been scary.

Moss gone
Kelly gone
Wayne gone
Collins ABCDE gone
Malik Bryant's move doesn't seem to have done anything
Now Rudolph from 2024

Lotta numbers. Not a lot of production.

Good luck

LOL I know, don't really care.

To be completely fair though, if you're going to recruit 3 kids for the same spot (Lightfoot, Pickett, and Rudolph are all likely to play WDE) in the same class, regardless if they're 0-stars or 5-stars, in college football 2025, the odd man out is gonna bounce. Just the nature of the beast. 10-15 years ago, they compete for 3-4 years, provide depth, maybe one gets hurt or goes early to the league, you've got the others. But today, if it's me and 2 other dudes for a spot, and when we line up for drills, I'm last in line.......yo, where's that portal?

1000%
I’m not mad at it. You recruit and stack chips for that reason, to let the cream eventually rise and bring the best out of the others.

It’s when there is no competition, and kids are just given spots because there’s no one for them to battle with, is how you end up with a **** product on the field because kids know they are going to play no matter what. We have seen it around here far too often.

Agree totally. Of the kids who have bounced so far, this is the one I care about the least.

When I was thinking of potential guys entering the portal the other day, this name completely flew over my head lol. Kind of forgot about him ngl
Yet you are the clown accusing someone of hating Miami. What a loser.

Unless you have an elite first step and speed rush, you won't pan out.

Best case is you're fighting 90 lbs of difference at the point of attack, and unless your leverage is elite (which it won't be), you're basically a non-factor.

Isn’t McConathy in the same class? I get it he’s not a tweener, but Rudolph is likely behind all 3 of those players

Yes, I forgot about Stunt CMC. I think he grows into more of a strong-side kid but still the point remains, if you recruit 4 edge players in a class, it's very likely that the one playing the least in a year is gonna bounce.
