Kid is pretty good. I know these drills favor the WRs, but I see things in these clips that I really like. His feet are elite for a high school kid, he has good change of direction skills, and he seemingly has no problem getting separation. Again this drill is definitely made to favor the WRs, and DBs need a **** gold medal to be good enough just to stay within a couple of steps of some of these kids. But I like this take. Hope he ends up in Orange and Green.

I'm not worried about McCoy. I thought he was good enough. My main worry is at C. I don't trust Rodriguez at all, that's why I keep saying I wish they went portal for the 65th year in a row at C. But hey I'm not an OL guy and Mario and Mirabal are some of the best in the business.

One thing that gets lost is we have arguably the best pass protection running back in college football as well.

And we legitimately have enough wide receivers that if you go 4 wide you HAVE to keep an eye on every single one of them.

I loved our wide receiving room the last 2 years…but this is about to look like **** did 20+ years ago.

I always said when elite CEOs build the trenches that’s when elite skill position guys go to that school. Now we won’t miss on skill guys cause we have elite trenches

Separation ability, explosiveness, confident hands to consistently extend his arms away from his frame to snatch the ball out of the air, and the wherewithal to work back to the QB on comeback routes like a seasoned veteran.

Big kudos to the staff for zeroing in on Woodard as the top target to pair with Lennear in a smaller WR class. This kid is a tremendous, ascending talent.

Why don’t you trust Rodriguez? Is it something you saw on the field?

He’s an athletic, 6-3 300, smart, 6th year SR who has been coached by Mirabal and Mario since 2022. This staff has pushed every kid who can’t cut it out the door, yet old Ryan has been retained even through multiple injuries.

Sounds like the best offensive line coaches in all of college football have serious trust in the guy, so what are you seeing that Mirabal and Mario are missing 🤔

That's what worries me - will he be able to stay relatively healthy? If so, I think he'll be solid.

Hasn’t been able to stay healthy. If he’s the starting center and God forbid he gets hurt again, who is the backup? A well undersized SJ?

This **** like when Bama was getting every wr, thats how this and next cycle is going to be. We will have one of the most loaded rosters in the modern era in 2 to 3 years.

The more I watch this tape, the more I'm ready to start talking crazy. Of all the routes he ran, that comeback was my favorite. His ability to shake the defender off even when he's getting held and come back with speed to snatch the ball out the air was a sight to see.

Total 5* and is handling his recruitment like a pro. Before this weekend I was fine if we didn't land him. Now, he's a MUST get to put the bow on this class IMO.

There is a chance every player gets hurt every down, that’s football. He did stay healthy all last season, so we will see.

As far as SJ the staff started him at LG all spring, and had him on the field in some really big moments during the playoffs. Seems like they trust him too 🤷🏾‍♂️

I agree. Of course we'd all love to land 20 5 stars every year. On average they're going to be good more than 3 or 4 stars on average. The problem is there are so many exceptions. There are just too many kids across the country to possibly see all of them and make a legit evaluation.

One small disagreement - while I think Mario is a very good evaluator, he's not going to get it right every time. No coach/recruiter nails every evaluation. There are always going to be kids who don't pan out, whether they are 5 stars or 3 stars.

I think one of the most challenging aspects is how these kids respond when they compete against similar talent or better talent. Big fish in a big pond so to speak is far different from abig fish in little pond. Few coaches can go into the mental make up of these kids to project but Mario is among the best. I think him showing the kids the physical practices is a huge part of his evaluation. I think that is what separated Mario is the practice level he demands and puts on display for recruits.
