They couldn’t hold us to a FG. They only had 1 timeout and we could have milked the clock to around 10 seconds left. Letting us score was their only shot, hoping to maybe score quick and then get an onside.

Ohio State is all of the cult of Penn State, just with more wins. The end result is that they don’t appear to be a cult, because they lack the constant state of despair. They don’t how to face the reality that their presumed immortality is in conflict with the real world.

Listen to them. In their minds, the game didn’t actually happen. They believe in a fictitious version of the game, a counterfactual even that showed nothing but their kicking woes hadn’t been addressed.

I think when op is referencing let us score he meant we walked down the field and they had numerous chances to stop us but then inevitably had to "let" us score after we milked 4 plus mins of clock to even have a .5% chance to win
