EJ VS FRANK FOR THE HOF?? WHO YOU GOT

Frank Gore will be known to have played until there was nothing left in the tank, and a guy with the heart of Champ.

EJ's pro career showed us that yes he was good, but only played as long as he could command the salary that he thought he deserved. Probably could have played 3-4 more years.

Both great players, but if i had to choose one for NFL HOF, I'd go with Frank!

Naw man, Edge was done. I knew he was done in AZ when took a pitch and had nothing but open field. He ran like he had a bus on his back. There was no juice in those legs at all.

Frank will get in, but he’s not first ballot. Total yards doesn’t tell the complete story. He averaged 71 yards per game. Elite backs average around 85. The lowest per game average is LT at 80.5. So that tells you Frank doesn’t have a lot of big runs. Another knock on Frank is he didn’t play in many big games. I love the guy, but his trip to Canton won’t be an easy one.

Both are HOF's... Both came back from serious injuries and performed at a high level. Edge even gave Arizona a few strong seasons.

Tell me there is not a debate about Frank Gore being a HoFer....... I refuse to believe this thread exists....

Besides rushing yards, he had 3,672 receiving yards and is also considered one of the best blocking running backs of all-time.

Both are worthy of the HOF. This is not even up for debate.

Edge is the fancy sports car that you take out and drive 120 mph.

Frank Gore is the F-150 with the 4.9 six cylinder and the manual shifter. Not particulary fast, not particularly good looking, parts coming off, rust on the quarter panels....but it just won't die and still carries the load.

Frank Gore, for me, is the staple of reliability and toughness. Could run outside, between the tackles, could catch in space, great blocker.

The sports car eventually loses its appeal and fun. At the end of the day, you get in that rusty old Ford and still get the job done.

If I were coaching RB's, I'd point to Frank and say, "This is something you can be through hard work and dedication."

I like Edge's chances better. He was more dominant in his prime, and played for better teams. I think he gets voted in quicker.

Gore - I don't see how the #5 rusher all time doesn't make it in. He's been really good for a long time, but he only had one statistically dominant year, and played on bad teams most of his career. Gore will have to wait longer.

Both get in.
