EJ Holland's On3 Cane CBs/Expert Predictions

Miami is building recruiting momentum for the 2028 class, and the writer is close to logging Rivals Predictions in favor of the Hurricanes for two more prospects:

• WR Dennis Tua’one (No. 9 WR, No. 82 overall) — Utah high schooler originally from South Florida, visited Miami twice, returning for the FSU game Oct. 17. Miami leads, though Oregon and USC are pushing to keep him closer to home.
• EDGE Asher Ghioto (No. 1 EDGE, No. 3 overall) — Jacksonville prospect staying in 2028 rather than reclassifying. Miami is the early team to beat after two visits and strong staff bonds, but faces competition from Florida, Georgia, Notre Dame, and Ohio State.

Both are set to visit for the October 17 matchup against Florida State.

Thanks, bro. Article says 3 though?

Missed the whole article. Updated below.

• WR Dennis Tua’one, Provo (Utah) Timpview (No. 9 WR, No. 82 overall) — Utah high schooler originally from South Florida, visited Miami twice this offseason and would love to return to the area. Back on campus for the FSU game Oct. 17. Miami leads, but Oregon and USC are pushing to keep him closer to his new home. The writer is a bit hesitant since he doesn’t know Tua’one well yet.
• EDGE Asher Ghioto, Jacksonville (Fla.) Bolles (No. 1 EDGE, No. 3 overall) — One of Miami’s biggest targets. Considered reclassifying but is staying in 2028. Two visits this offseason, strong staff bonds, and impressed with Miami’s EDGE production. Miami is the early team to beat but must fend off Florida, Georgia, Notre Dame, and Ohio State. Also visiting for the FSU game Oct. 17.
• DL Antonio Wilcher, Miami (Fla.) Southridge (three-star, 6-foot-2.5, 305 lbs) — Local interior lineman in constant contact with UM, recently on campus for a camp. Says the Hurricanes are at the top of his list, with Florida also in the mix. Landing him could open inroads at Southridge, home to big-time underclassmen talent important for the 2029 class.

The through-line: Miami holds the lead or momentum with all three, with the October 17 FSU game serving as a key visit opportunity.

That was from last week. EJ is close to putting 3 more as he stated “three more picks I'm close to putting in as the Hurricanes continue to build momentum on the recruiting trail”.

Getting the kid who was #1 in 2028 (A1) along with the kids who were ranked #2 and #3 (Brysen and Ghioto) would be neat, IMO.

Wilcher- DT from Southridge. He thinks Wilcher will reclassify from 2029 to 2028
? This wasn’t included in the update by @AbsoluteUnit ?

Wilcher is already in the class of 2028 also. Martell Shannon and Bobby Doctor are his ‘29 teammates on the same defensive line though. . . . Martell Shannon is the prize of the trio; being a maxpreps freshman all-American.
