that will be the case for any team and any conference

if you're already IN (i.e. top 10), you won't be OUT by losing your conference title game

BYU is screwed because as of right now at 11, they are not already in so if they lose to TTU they are completely out

In other words, there was no need to take a shot at the ACC for not being a "real conference" since conferences don't step in to make sure their CG loser doesn't drop.
