I just wanted to make a thread showing this guy some love. He's caught the worst breaks of any Canes' player I can think of in recent history. Yet through all of his struggles he approaches everyday with a no excuses, positive hardworking mentality. and from everything I read about him, he is a stand up guy and a great teammate. I remember when he choose Da U over UGA. it was considered to be major win (even though he was in our backyard). I hate that Blandy derailed this kids career with his terrible coaching and horrid-unmotivated staff. In case some have forgotten in 2009 Scout said this about OT Clements is a back that can about anything. He is quicker than some think, he gets to the edge very well, and he has very good footwork and balance. He makes nice cuts, he shows good patience out of the backfield, and he has very good hands as well. He can with a little more authority on the inside or when going head to head with a linebacker, but he as what it takes to be elite. - South Recruiting Analyst Chad Simmons. I can only imagine what he could have been. I don't know if you read these boards or not, But thank you OT for being the embodiment of what is a true hurricane.

Hate that the dude could see the field more. Hard working fantastic athlete who deserves better than his body allowed. Not sure if he has any eligibility left after this year, but is an asset to the entire team. Would love to see him and Mo in the backfield together on short yardage plays in the future.

Anyone who hasn't seen this, take a couple minutes. Enjoy:

Like i said before the season just red shirt him and let him have one off season to train and get his body fully healthy. He can still take a medical red shirt he didn't play last week..

I disagree that Randy derailed his career (not saying he helped it much either). This kid got derailed by injuries and bad timing on the depth chart. I always liked Clements. His runs remind me a bit of when Damien Berry was here and moved to RB. I know Berry was nothing special, but he always seemed to move the ball forward. Clements doesn't flash often, but he always seems to have good runs imo. Wish we would have gotten more opportunities.
