It's a shame the coaching staff(s) never gave Gus Edward more of an opportunity here.

He backed up Duke. Had some flashes. People soured on him because he never filled that Dallas Crawford short yardage role when we needed it.

What killed him here was being injured all of 2015. He is exactly the type of back Richt loves but didn’t get any traction. I think he came back still recovering and fell behind Walton and Yearby.

It worked out for him in the end though.
