I get what you're saying but LSU looked like a clown show at times this year. Really bad. Like basic operations were being bungled. If you can't make it as a HC at LSU (with all the advantages they have -- and serious boosters behind you (which I know very well) -- that's not a good look.

Ed is a very good recruiter & DL coach though.

He's a bit toxic right now for some off the field stuff. Not sure how good a HC job he would get.

I mean, have you heard his name mentioned for ANYTHING? And you could get him with no buyout too.

Nah, he's a head coach. I totally see him taking over at Louisiana after Napier leaves for the Gators job.

Plus this guy would be saying Geaux Tigers after every interview......😉
 
He's not a HC. He's a great DL coach, with a big personality. If I'm him, I stay in baton Rouge and enjoy retirement in a place where I'm respected as a legend. Plus, he's recently single. Why not just enjoy yourself for atleast a season or two lol
