You think there's any chance he'll end up on Mario's staff at some point? Or is he done with being a position coach?

I wouldn't rule anything out. Maybe his role isn't that of a position coach... However if it was we most certainly would not be suffering to have him as a dline coach as good of a job as I think Damien did this year Ed is in a class not too many people are when it relates to a d-line coach.

I must have miss remembered, I thought his drinking back in the day would make it tough for him to come back as a coach. I like the guy.

I was just sitting here thinking exactly what you wrote. Damien has done a pretty **** good job. We don't really neeeed to upgrade there. But then.. Coach O is a legend. He is that dude. I've never heard anyone who knows him say a single bad thing about him. He's the one guy I'd punt Damien to the moon for.

Like you said though, he doesn't even have to be a position coach. Just getting him on staff would be a huge win.

Met him at the ND game. He was just walking around by himself outside the stadium. Chatted quick and took a pic. Seemed like a genuine dude.
