Early Vegas over/under 2023 season totals are out

Two new coordinators.

Too many holes.

At best 6-6.

5-7 is more realistic. If that happens. Expect recruiting to tank big time.

These prediction threads are bipolar. Before the second portal opened, most posters were saying we better get 9 wins or Mario needs to be run out of Miami. Now, after fixing the CB and RB gaps, and making a massive dent in the WR gaps, most people are saying 5-7 wins. CIS gonna to CIS.

How about this take. I felt we could win between 5-9 games heading out of Spring camp, with 7-8 wins being most likely. Given the new adds, we are at least a game better. So 6 to 10 games, with 8-9 most likely. This staff has brought us back from the brink, and with a couple more high quality adds, we could be talking double digits.

For now, I'm looking for 8 or 9 wins. The four toss-ups I'm circling are UNC, NC State, FSU and Louisville. We win at least two of those. FSU is ridiculously overrated.

Miami (OH) - W
A&M - L
Bethune - W
Temple - W
Tech - W
UNC - pick-em
Clemson - L
UVA - W
NC State - pick-em
FSU - pick-em
Louisville - pick-em
BC - W

Seems like we’ve been 7-6 (bowl game loss included) for 100 years now. Is there any optimism? At least we will be picked to win the Coastal from the other ACC coaches for the 7th year in a row.

If we go 8-4 it will feel like we went 10-2.

My mind says 7-5 and then we get a bowl win and finish top 25 with momentum going into 2024.

I still think it’s completely bogus that we wind up annually with 2 of what will be the best 4 teams in the ACC. Brohm's Louisville is way different than a Satterfield Louisville. Norvell and FSU will be problem. Then to ice it off they give us the coldest weather team in the conference in BC lol. Gotta love the ACC

Probably ****ed we're part of the group driving the get out of the ACC movement

The spring game was pretty bad. I know a ton of guys were out, but hasn’t that been the story since last year? We need to get a bunch of guys working together in short time. I can see 5 wins; I can also see 10. I genuinely don’t know what to expect and history is not necessarily on our side.

why do I suddenly want to place 100 on the over after all these portal additions?

We've out recruited them all since Larry Coker was here. People like to act as if we have so many holes in our roster, but EVERY team has holes. Question is, why, if we've been out recruiting these other schools, are our holes so much more devastating?

Miami has screwed up time after time not hiring a coach that gives us a schematic advantage. None of the coaches we have hired have been forward thinking, innovative coaches that can use the talent UM draws to its advantage. And yes, UM will draw talent no matter who the coach is. It'll draw even more when kids see their coaches are putting the players in a position to make plays, win games, and look **** good in the process.

I'm sick of simply trying to out talent other teams. 2001 isn't going to happen again. Even then, that team **** near lost a couple games due to bad coaching. Same with 2002. I'm not giving up on Mario yet, but 7-6 is BS. Any coach worth a crap can do better with the talent we have on the roster. If you need a roster full of 4-5 star players to be competitive, you SUCK as a head coach.

Bobby Bowden once said, if you are known as a great recruiter, you probably aren't a great coach. If you were a great coach, you'd be known as a great coach. I couldn't agree more. By the way, a great coach draws talent. Miami has a recruiter.
