Early Vegas over/under 2023 season totals are out

Canes at 7 1/2 which seems like the right number. A few notables of better teams we play are are CLEM at 9 1/2, Noles at 9 1/2, UNC and Louisville both at 8 1/2.

I've learned not to bet the Canes where too much heart and not enough head is involved.

UVA - win (not surprised, either way, based on last year)

Louisville - lose (check out Brohm and "big games" and I think this is one for him in his first year)

Until I see otherwise I can't take Miami in any "pick 'em" kind of game. So, while I don't like it, my money, now, is on A&M (though they are just as reliable), UNC (they own us under Mac), and NC State (they play harder than we do). I can't, most optimistically, see more than 7 wins here.

Team is definitely better than last year (provided TVD doesn’t die again). But is it good enough to get to 8 wins? We’ll see. Pretty fair line, imo. I think 7-5 or 8-4 are the most likely results.
