Toledo has had a good defense once in that time period (2015) which is the on field difference between the 2 types of programs (and all of the recruiting advantages). In that year we knocked off ranked Arkansas and Arkansas eventually knocked off ranked LSU.

Coaching has been wildly successful and consistent. Beckman- Campbell- Candle. This year will be no different. Playmakers are better at Toledo than LSU lately too. Sure some great RB'S have come out of LSU but they were still losing games 17-20... We have had NFL caliber backs as well, just with a passing attack attached. It hurts your brain to think about but it's true. Lots of the time it's with guys who aren't recruited anywhere else (Logan Woodside, Kareem Hunt, Cody Thompson). Sometimes it's with 3* guys who want playing time (Alonzo Russel, Bernard Reedy, Desmond Phillips). Toledo is a G5 recruiting genius even it's not the highest number of star recruits but finding guys right for the system. If that wasn't true we wouldn't have blown away some of that Miami blue Chip DB talent in 2017.

Having said that, the defense hasn't come along yet. Miami will be the first test in 2018. IMO we smoke Miami in special teams and everything else is strength against strength/weakness against weakness.

You have got to be ******* kidding me. I rarely make predictions prior to games, but this is just unbelievable. You do realize we pay teams like yours to play us in order to pad our records, right? You guys are going to get demolished. We smashed you last year and that was with the best QB your team has ever landed. We are going to obliterate you guys and use you like a scrimmage to figure out which QB should start against an actual P5 team.

You do realize Toledo had the lead at halftime last year down in Miami? And we were only down 1 touchdown with 7 minutes remaining in the 4Q? For the record, Logan Woodside is the 3rd best QB in Rocket history (Chuck Ealey #1, Bruce Gradkowski #2). Don't fall into ESPN's brainwash of P5 this and G5 that. Sounds stupid. It's FBS football. Anything can happen.

Our D is a year older and stronger and you lost your NFL QB.

Our QB is $hitty but he had a hall of fame game against your "defense."

Miami didn’t have a normal practice schedule for over a month and then were not as fine tuned as they would have been if it was a normal situation. This definitely attributed to the lackadaisical performance. This game will be much different defensively
 
With Dozier at QB1 I'm' not gonna rule anything out.

We should smash these guys but I know Malweak and Mangy Diaz will find a way to give them a chance to win it.

Wasn't this also the week that Miami had a shortened practice/prep week due to Hurricane Irma?
 
i might have a couple tix available for this game. 2nd row behind miami bench section 22 i believe. would be sitting with me and a few friends, so that increases the value

You do realize football is played for 4 quarters not 2, right? We demolished you guys by 22 points. That was after 3 weeks of no football and very few practices. Most of our players were home helping their communities. It took us a half to get back into the swing of football. You guys on the other hand already played 3 games and had the momentum in your favor. Along with Woodside who is leaps and bounds better than your current QB. Don't fall into your own hype. There is a massive drop off between the P5 and the AAC and there is a pretty big drop off between AAC and the remaining G5 conferences. If you are that delusional that you think you actually stand a chance and you aren't just there to pad our records then I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you. DM me for details.

We don't have to be delusional because Vegas can do that for us. They say we are 10 point dogs. I'll just let them do the talking and let people place bets on either side of the line.

BTW, for the like 300th time on this board, 38-30 with 7 minutes left in the 4th is not 2 quarters. Miami actually got up early 10-0 then Toledo's passing attack started shredding your DB's. We even scored then went hurry up and ended up settling for a FG by not reviewing.

Miami ran us into the ground late because you had a top 10 RB in the country and LB is our weakest spot. That was expected...but by those on this board it was expected by half. That did not happen! Toledo hung around way too long for anyone on this boards comfort..don't believe me? Re check this thing from last year.
