Obviously, tons will change for both teams between now and that game, but welcome to the offseason!!

So, here's my overly simplistic hottake:

Felipe is not a great QB, but he can hurt you with his feet and big body. So, if we can have the anti-Shannon D against the Gators (ie. NOT let a running QB dominate the game) then we win. By how much, I don't know, but if we contain their scrambling and QB run plays, we win because I don't believe they can just pass the ball on us and win even with a new secondary. Also, our D should be close to last year's D (not as good, but still top 10) and that should give the ball back to Enos.

My overly simplified view of this year's NC Game was that Clemson would win because - Better QB + Better D > Good QB + better skill position players. I thought Clemson would win solidly, but not by a blowout. I'm similarly applying this overly simplified view to the UF game. We will win.

Our DLine looked horrible in the bowl game without Willis. Unless there is some serious development there we may have a problem stopping their running game.
There was a lot more going on with the DL and the D in general than just missing Willis. I have confidence in Simpson that our DT's will at minimum hold serve against good OL's in 2019.

Felipe was playing pretty well at the end of the season. Better than any of our QB’s have
He played better than any of our guys, but that's not a great comparison. Mullen is a good play caller and well, we had Richt. His scrambling worries me, but I believe in this coaching staff. We'll be ready.

I am sure Willis would have helped but wouldnt have made much of a difference. Look at the BC game, Wisky last year. dIAZ D does not do very good against good Oline that lines up and runs straight forward.

Much more excited about the game that before the retirement HOWEVER
- Away game
- QB still question mark
- Florida Year Two with new coaches - Miami not only year one but game one
- I know the O will be better but still missing talent at WR
- 3 Best Players on D just left

I think we can win a lot more games --- this isnt one of them -- but I will fly across country just in case

heres an oversimplistic view:

we always come with all this noise, hype, turnover chains, etc... and proceed to get our assses handed to us at the line of scrimmage..
how about we work our asses off get big as *****, strong as chuck, and mean as ***** and push these bittches around on 8/31

IMO UF lost to much and Felipe is not very good. This reminds me of the Kentucky game for them last year. We should win IMO

Florida is losing early:

-Jawaan Taylor
-Scarlett
-Polite
-Joseph
-Gardner

plus their entire Oline I think. They have the advantage being year 2 for their staff but they have a lot of key personnel losses.

Here’s hoping then that Baker adds some wrinkles to the defense as such that our run defense improves for 2019.

Put a spy on a Franks. UF’s loses its entire oline. The R side of that line was dominant so that’s big. They have a talented backfield but we should try and make them one dimensional by loading up the box. We have lots of tape on UF and they have nothing on us. If we get Hurts, we win.

Idaho, Florida State, Missouri, South Carolina will do that for you.
Michigan as well. Mullen is a good QB coach and you're fooling yourself if you think Felipe is going to play terribly next year. Last year he had McElwin and Randy coaching him.
