Early...maybe all games cause we r sad and posting with low energy levels today Games This Week (10/18)

You used a year where Kiffin lost to top 25 teams as a rebuttal to someone saying he can’t win the big one. I don’t think we’re going to have a good faith conversation here lol. (By the way, they got ******* handled in both of those games)

I’m not saying Cristobal is better. I’m also not saying Lane is bad. But if Lane was our coach people would be out for blood when his offense throws up one of their duds. A loss to a 4 win team kept them out of the ******* playoff last year.

No- as I explained I am interested in seeing whether a HC has shown he is capable of at least one season where his teams don’t get dogwalked by a much less talented opponent.
I don’t expect a HC to do that every year. Just want to know if he has demonstrated that he can.

If I am hiring a HC that’s what I would look for first. If I see he’s done that before, then I can believe it might happen again and that with more talent he will may eventually be able to beat the more difficult ranked opponents and potentially make a title run.

If in his long career a HC has never had a season where he beat all the teams he was supposed to beat, then I wouldn’t hire him because no matter how many resources he gets, he’s established that he is going to trip up and somehow ruin his own chances.

Arizona State giving a clinic on how to blow a game.

1st down up 19-14 with 3:45 to go and throws on first down. Nearly sacked.
Run the ball on 2nd down.
Pass on 3rd and 8, get sacked.
Give up PR to ASU 12
Give up TD pass on 1st down
Give up 2pt conversion after a defensive penalty

TT 22, ASU 19 with 2:00 left.

ASU now has to pass into the teeth of TT pass rush.
Not so fast my friend

I was walking the dogs, why did TTU go for 2 on the go ahead TD? Bet they wish they didn't now. Nevermind. I see it now they got penalty then made it. Thought they missed it

ASU special teams did everything they could to give away the game too, winning is hard
Arizona State should have run 3X when they got the ball at 3:45 up 19-14. Even without a FD they can blow off more time than an incomplete pass and taking a sack on 3rd down. Bad coaching.

But, they came back to win.

I loved that play design on 4th-2 that gained 35 yards.
