My guess is that the evaluations by the recruiting gurus (Rivals, Scout, ESPN, etc.) were waaaaay off. Those evaluations are really just educated guesses, with the suspect word being "educated." The idea that the group was highly talented and just succumbed to "laziness" or didn't get "coached up" enough may have some validity, but I think lack of actual football potential was the main problem. If a kid has a lot of that potential, he usually does well. If he lacks it, he doesn't rise beyond mediocrity no matter how well he is coached.

I think we tend to take the recruiting evaluations way too seriously in judging how good past classes were. I prefer measures of actual performance such as All American, All-ACC, first and second round NFL draft choices, etc.

Who is GW3?

Never mind, you are referring to Willis. he is already enrolled but has to red-shirt this year. I don't count him as 2016 since he is a DI Transfer and not a recruit.
