Dylan Raiola Enters Portal

Nah. Bud has literally picked Miami or the field for any portal QB to enter.

When him and Ivins were talking about Lagway a few weeks ago, Bud said Miami.

Literaly just last week on Cover 3, he said "we're thinking Sellers & Miami right?"
New market efficiency if you sign all of the portal QBs than there is no one for everyone else to sign.

No thanks. He's gonna come here and try and tear his ACL...

I saw on his highlights that on his deep go routes, yes he puts too much air under his throws. Its like a straight up jump ball.

His best range is the 10 to 25 yard throws. They are impressive.

CJ Bailey has a nicer deep ball.

The way this dude manuevers in the pocket (and even moves out of it) while keeping his head down field and continuing to go through progressions is super impressive to me.

Def harmless
I worry about the intangibles, how he’d fare and leas in our lockerroom but again, that aint for me to sign off on. If they vet the kid and think he can do it, then lets do it.
He’d figure out a way to get sacked 30 times or more behind our OL.

That **** is absolutely important, but we both know what's importanter. Pretty decent chance we play FSU in Week 1 next year. He goes out there and throws for 300+ with 3 TDs and we win by 20, he can put on whatever mirrored shades and cut his hair however he wants. The boys will be just fine with it.
I don’t wanna play FSU week 1 next year.

Norvell, for how much fun we make of him and FSU has a weird record of actually being a tough team during week 1 games.

Go ask Bama, LSU (twice), Notre Dame (close loss) and a few others.

I’ll take them on week # 2.

Nuts on the table....this is the one for me.

Yeah, he's kind of strange with the Mahomes ****. Oh well, he's a kid and he looks up to one of the all-time greats. You know who else is a weirdo poser who worships someone else and does everything they do? Jayson Tatum. World Champion. Can you play, or can you not? IMO, this kid can really play and he'd thrive here with this line, weapons, and scheme.

And, I'm sure most people know this but I doubt everyone does...his grandpa played football at The University of Miami. Family ties here, for sure.

Is this kid a lead-pipe lock, sure thing, 100% certainty who wins the Heisman next year? Who the **** knows? Nothing is a sure thing. But I think this kid really fits what we do here very, very well. I'll take my chances on this and if I'm wrong, I'm wrong (Full disclosure, I thought we could do better than Mendoza last year at this time so the inside of my skull houses one (1) unpopped popcorn kernel, at best)

I’m curious genuinely what everyone sees with him? I guess the accuracy being he’s at 68% or so for the two seasons? Provides nothing as a duel threat and I just assumed we wanted to get someone more mobile.
If his ability to get the ball out accurately is exceedingly good, then being a dual-threat is less of a necessity.

From what I've seen on highlights has pocket awareness and mobility.

kid can make every single throw on the field and behind this OL, he'd COOK!!!

this year at Nebraska he was sacked more than last year while at the same time, dropping back less to pass. His OL at Nebraska was BAD!!!
