Dylan Raiola Enters Portal

Raiola reminds me a lot of Brad Kaaya. If Kaaya had Dawson as his OC instead of James Coley, he'd have been better. Kaaya did great in his last year with Richt once we abandoned the pro-style offense mid way through the 2016 season.

Needless to say, I think Raiola could do great here with Dawson.
I hope he can run faster than Kayaa, lol.

To any of you comparing Beck to Dylan is fuxking laughable lol. They arent even close to being the same. Beck proved himself at UGA and was a Heisman candidate coming into the 2024 season. Dylan has never achieved anything close to that. I dont know anything about his character. I just know he has never been as good as his family thinks
If Mario & Dawson sign off on Raiola, then they’ve obviously earned our trust & all is good. Just have a heard time believing Mario, based on the culture & what he preaches, would deem this the best option. Even more stunning if this was kept quiet & Raiola was first or second choice all along. Way too many red flags.

I trust Mario and Dawson. I’m just a fan with an opinion that doesn’t matter at the end of the day. If they bring Dylan in I would support him just like I would support Emory if he was our starter next year.

Completion percentage went up 5%. He had 5 more TDs and 5 less interceptions from his FR year. I never really watched him much but those improvements are encouraging. I would need to watch to see how he reads coverage and also his arm talent. I need a slinger

Honestly, right now, Dylan has proven more than Cam Ward had before he transferred to Miami. Dylan was playing in the B10.

Stats & tape obviously are huge in evaluating QBs or any player, but just one part of the puzzle. A lot more goes into a QB evaluation. Really deep dive exams things like potential red flags, issues at previous stops, maturity, football IQ, mental & physical toughness, leadership, trust, commitment to being first one in the building & last one out, distractions & outside influences. Good thing is Mario has nailed the portal.

Jesus some of you are insufferable.

Find me a guy who threw 18 TDs and 6 INTs with a 72% percent completion percentage.

I’ll wait.

FYI last year it was 13 TDs and 11 INTs at 67% percent completion.

If you can’t see the trajectory then you need to log out and choose to follow tennis or something.

It’s funny cause Beck came from nowhere and was never mentioned before he signed here. Mario put a stellar system here. I’m sure they have this thing handled.

I’m sorry, but I really question wtf y'all watch.

Dude is really good and makes incredible throws. Better than a lot of qb’s that we’ve said “this is the guy”.

If you want a dude that has proven he can get the ball out there; he’s done it for 2 years.

So there better be some really good reasons for not wanting a dude like that.

As far as schools in x number of years we have dudes on this team on their 3rd university and are contributing big time.

Last I checked he’s been at Nebraska 2 years and didn’t jump last year.

No arrests, no disciplinary issues (that are public) in high school or college.

But I 100 understand not wanting him back if the family is gonna be hitting up the hc and oc all the time complaining about play calling and scheme.
But that’s considering if what is being said is true or not.

The fact that his dad was an olineman and didn’t even consider Miami to begin with is a little concerning. But maybe it was a money issue considering we aren’t breaking the bank on a unproven freshman. But we f he’s not going where family is being hired at then hail nah.

The last thing we need is Mario telling g a parent “come get your kid”

But it wouldn’t surprise me if he ended up being best available after it’s all said and done considering the 6 million dollar offers going out for these qb’s.

Look at his base, angels, and motion. He’s a bigger older Cam Coleman.

But the biggest question: is he a Miami guy?

Maybe I’m wrong but I remember that one of our insiders or a poster who would know (can’t remember which one) reported that we were a dark horse in his recruitment and that he was close to commit. I think it was when it was committed to UGA.

Again I could be wrong so tifwiw.
