Dylan Raiola Enters Portal

With Fletcher, Pringle and Mallory (and hopefully Brown and/or Lyle), do we REALLY need a dual threat qb next year? Our rushing attack will likely be MUCH better next year. Run or throw quick accurate passes to Toney, Lofton, Moore, Upshaw, Parris, Wingo, Trader and whoever we get in the portal. With right qb, we should be able to move down the field with surgical precision.

This year we would have benefitted greatly from a dual threat. Next year I don’t know if we do. I think it would be better if they could manuever in the pocket and keep eyes downfield.

Unless you are 100% sure that the dude you have at qb is a bonafide passing stud, you get a qb with at the very least some decent wheels.

Look at the nfl. The days of a non athletic qb are pretty much over. Tom Brady is a unicorn.

In a business where people are getting paid millions to exploit your weakness you have to assemble a team that puts maximum amount of pressure on a defense.
If Beck had just a little more athletic ability this offense would be that much more difficult to deal with. And then think his lack of athleticism is going to hurt him more than his actual qb play.

Look how much pressure a dude like Tony places on defenders. If we had a qb that can give 10-15 yards when a play doesn’t develop as planned it changes things in our favor dramatically.
