Kid is not a project and no scout or scouting services have said. Only some silly kids here who have not seen the kid. How you a 4 star QB and a project? I have seen the kid at a couple of their 7 on 7 practices (FYI George Campbell on his team also). Has a naturally strong arm and throws a powerful ball like Cam. A 20 yd out to the wide side is nothing for this kid. Doesn't panic or think run as soon as things breakdown. Slender muscular now, will easily be 225/30 after one summer or fall weight training. Like with all QB's we have to see about the reading defense part, but this kid is capable of winning the job.

@SBNRecruiting @TheStateOfTheU If Kaaya pans out, I like the take as a project

@TheStateOfTheU @PeterAriz I also wouldn't rule out a move to another position in college.

@TheStateOfTheU @PeterAriz Interesting pickup. Can't criticize it given the QB situation East of Mississippi this year. He is super raw.

"Trust" your boy Pete! Lol just messing Pete...

Bring the kid and teach him how to be a QB, he's already an athlete, teach him to read defenses and then unleash the dual threat.

Kid looks like real deal to me. I am excited about him. We need to have several QBs who can play. I am so tired of watching someone start because we have nobody else. Until one looks like one of our old guys, play them all and lets see.

I agree whoever starts will be on a short leash. As soon as they throw 2 picks in a game, he's out. Next man up. Stephen Morris threw like 4 picks against UNC and wasn't pulled out smh

Anyone got any news on Lawson. With all the excitement over 2016 and the 200 RBs in the 2015 class, this guy seems to have dropped off our radar. I like him. He gives us another solid prospect in perhaps a nice string of QBs. The last 8 years it seems we only have one limping qb on the team at a time. Regardless on anything this year, I want this kid coming in next year and adding pressure to is ever playing QB and giving options to whoever is coaching.

After Friday’s performance it appears Hillsborough just might have a chance to beat the Hawks, especially with quarterback Dwayne Lawson at the helm. Against Jefferson, Lawson was nothing short of spectacular, completing 22 of 33 passes for 241 yards and two TDs and rushing 15 times for 112 yards, including a 53-yard TD run.

“As Dwayne goes, we go,” Garcia said. “He came up big tonight
