Tears Duke Tears

I understand frustration at the last minute departure of crucial players.

But hate toward Miami is totally unwarranted. The players' agents shopped them around.

How can you possibly get upset at Miami when someone makes a lucrative offer in response? It's just misplaced.

There really is some kind of complex other fanbases have with Miami. It's a whole psychological study ready for funding.

A Duke fan claiming that the ACC is secretly pushing Miami and holding Duke back is possibly the most ridiculous sports take in the history of ridiculous sports takes. Those Tobacco Road hicks would permanently cancel football season if it don’t make so much money.

Can't wait for their AD to come out and attack Jim Phillips like the ND AD did.

Go cry to FSU and Clemson

/its funny af they both put this in motion and we reap the rewards

Mensah's agent reaches out to UM.
It's UM's "fault".
UM reaps the benefit of keeping all of the postseason loot, thanks
to Clemson and fsu......Again, it's UM's "fault".
UM has players in squad who don't physically attend classes because they have
already been in the college game for 5plus years and already have at least one
degree - a practice not uncommon in college football these days. Again, again, UM
is destroying this sport.'
Personally, I like that players are less restricted from transferring to/from schools.
Life is short, and college eligibility is even less.
Go where you're wanted, although the manner it is currently implemented sux.
Same for NIL. In a sport which creates billions off the back of young athletes, they
deserved a cut but, again, the process needs to be refined.
But, again, the NIL/transfer portal, was not created in Coral Gables.
UM didn't make these rules or create this landscape, but I'm sure glad they are ahead of it.

We all have prejudices & opinions. Miami is & has always been a needle mover. Hate or love them. 1 of 1.

Alot of folks just hate everything to do with the city of Miami regardless of what sport is involved.
It can be college athletics, NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, NHL, whatever.
I'm old enough to remember the so-callled baseball purists crying over the Marlins "buying" a World Series title or two, as if other championship baseball teams were created organically.
