It came out in this morning's (Monday's) Washington Post. He was the newcomer to the list, which consists only of two others: Mariota and Dak Prescott.

I couldn't find a link. I did find an article from last week where they said it would be between the other two, Mariota and Prescott. They listed some darkhorses, but Duke wasn't even on that list. Now he's listed as one of the three serious contenders in the view of at least this paper.

Seems like Duke's finally beginning to get some attention. I think it's significant because this is a major national newspaper, and is likely to be seen by others in the media, including particularly USA Today, etc.

People will start looking at Duke more closely, particularly with FSU coming up. I don't think Winston was even mentioned in last week's article as one of the also-rans.

He can win it or at least book himself a trip toNY against FSU. Down 6 with three minutes to play, Golden has Duke take the kick. He returns it for a TD, and the Heisman is his.

Lot of worthy names on that list. I think gurley and gholston are out. Duke needs to outperform Abdullah and cooper these last few weeks to get the invite.

Very simple deal. When he annihilates fsu by himself and kills their win streak, he will be one of the clear favorites.

This award is about making a big national statement. Wouldn't be surprised to see him returning kicks against fsu.

I'll tell you one thing. If the award is truly for the most outstanding player and not simply the best player in the SEC, then if Duke keeps playing at the possessed level he's playing at now no one is more outstanding. He's taking over games like he did as a HS senior.
