Dugans

If Dugans leave Miami needs to go after Bryan McClendon former rb and also receiver coach at uga when Richt was there. There’s a rumor saying he won’t be back at South Carolina and Richt pursued him over Dugans initially. He’s one of the elite recruiters in the country too. If not him I guess We should go after Lamar Thomas

McClendon turned Rick down to go coach under Muschimp, who most thought was a horrible hire. Why would he come here now?

Chump fired the OC

So are you saying McClendon chose Muschimp over Rick because he wanted to work under Roper? Not sure what the point is.

Chump fired Roper (coOC/QB/playcaller). McClendon was coOC/WR.
Pretty sure McClendon just called the Michigan game.

If he is passed over for OC, who knows?

Ok. He was OC in the bowl game. I think he’s been OC since Muschimp fired Roper. I doubt we’d hire him and let him call plays.

I don't believe Dugans is going anywhere, but if he were... who would be great hire?

IF Dugans leaves, McClendon is a great hire. He has excellent ties to Georgia and believe it or not, excellent ties to American Heritage. Better than Rumph.

If McClendon were unavailable...i don't care.

If he leaves, turn it into a positive. Steal Briles from FAU and make him WR coach/co-OC.

100% becaus you know Lane ain't staying at FAU after next season

It shouldn't matter what Lane does. UM should be able to take any coach it wants from FAU. It would be a great hire for us if Rick let him design the run game.

The open market would pay him 2-3 million easy as an OC. As much as i'd like to take him i don't see UM paying that price.

LOL at $2-3M for a second year OC. Name me some OCs getting paid that much by anyone. Briles is probably making about $300k right now tops.

Matt Canada is making 1.5m. Point is he's making 1m at FAU. He's going to get more HC offers around 4m so why take a coordinator position if the money doesn't make sense. ******* Doug Nussmeir makes 1.1 million.

Here's a name if Dugans leaves:

Kasey Dunn - WR coach @ Oklahoma St.

The fact that he came from OK State he could definitely give pointers to Richt about what a high power offense should look like.

Only way we steal him away from OK State is giving him a a co-OC title.

Matt Canada was the 4th highest paid assistant in the country this year, and the highest paid OC at $1.5M.....and LSU is about to fire him.

We aren't paying $1M for a **** OC, yall ******* trippin.

It would hurt, but maybe we could hire an OC that can also coach WRs

I like your thinking! Man, idgaf, we need an OC, LB coach, and while I’m at it a DC, because Manny’s D is straight garbage!

And before I get downvoted, all I remember was Tom Herman going to Houston and making them a serious contender... and yes he did something we couldn’t do, with players he inherited.. beat a Good fswho team.

Diazs defenses get exposed the same way no matter where he goes. He can kick rocks and is a terrible lb coach to add to injury.

Tennesse is looking to hire McClendon as their Wr coach. We should be able to hire him as a Wr/OC. He would be a great hire.

Lol i know that. That was my point.

Glad to hear Coach Dugans ain't going nowhere. We've had enough attrition for one off-season as it stands. At the very leasat, it'll be nice to see some continuity coming from the coaching staff.

Nothing has been confirmed. If he's in Tallahassee that may not be a good sign

Why did McClendon choose to go work for Muschimp, who had a bad reputation and for whom he never worked, instead of coming to UM with Rick? Rick tried to hire him when he came to UM, but McClendon turned him down.

I recall reading that McClendon is a country boy and his family didn’t like Miami.

McClendon is from Chicago. Perplexing that he turned us down in the first place but maybe he thought he had a better chance to end up calling plays up there.
