I think it was b/c he was perceived to be our strongest recruiter, but after chit came out how players weren’t feeling him and we started losing recruits/commits left & right, then that perception changed. But yeah, I was in that boat too b/c it looked like his unit was beasting, but the WR room was a mess; poor route running, couldn’t get separation, dropped ball after dropped ball. Then the JT situation happened so he became hella expendable.

I mean you knew these takes were coming. Dugans deserved to get fired, along with the rest of the offense. Nobody argued otherwise on here.

But a bunch of posters still think FSU is some elite program. So any excuse to pump up the Noles is a welcome one.

Good luck to Dugans, but I'm glad he's gone and we got JT back

keep going with this take. dugans is a good dude but he absolutely failed as a coach on and off the field. his entire room was one of the root causes of all the issues surrounding the team

His WR core played pathetic all year long. Zero accountability, played favorites. Players were in revolt by the end of the season. I like Dugans and think he good be a good coach somewhere else but he DEFINITELY deserved to get fired!!!!!

So is that a player problem or a position coach problem. Freshman crying about PT and being me 1st vs team 1st is a player leadership problem. We loss a lot of leadership on the offensive side of the ball from 17 to 18. That’s where the problem lies. When coaching young men it has to be trickledown effect. From coaches to captains to those captains and leaders. Now y’all got mad at TB when he told y’all what it was. The **** was the truth

I didn't think Dugans was a bum. He recruited well enough and until last season, coached the unit up pretty well.

I am not sure what happened in the wide receiver room, but it seemed every story about a malcontent was coming from that room. Pretty crazy considering a year prior, the same group of guys (sans Pope) had big moments and were leaders on the team.

that WR room was an absolute mess. dugans did recruit well here, but you cant have that many issues going on there. if he had been retained, prolly likely we lose 3 of the young kids at that position

Braxton was THE leader in that room. Walton was the alpha male on O. Then u had a guy like KC . Ahmmon had to be that guy this year. But he was missed. Leadership was missed on O
