Hartley ain't ****! We can get anybody to recruit a bunch of **** 3 stars!
 
No one on the staff is anything special enough to keep around.

Recruiting was so bad this year that no one can even bank on that as a calling card for continued employment.

Dugans had our guys blocking and playing well his first two seasons. You can’t blame all the drops on him. We had QBs with terrible accuracy, Harley & Langham with brick hands, Cager the chest catcher, etc.

Hartley got good production from the TE spot and actually broke us into the JAX market which is usually a Gator/ FSU/GA recruiting area

I actually expected to keep these two, but the benefit of cleaning the entire house outweighs the costs of what we'll lose. People have underestimated what a difficult position Coach Diaz is in because of the rushed hire.

If he wants to assert himself, he has minimal opportunities to send "culture" messages. Plus, if we can match their roles with equal or better technical coaches, the recruit stuff has a way of working itself out. Kids are fickle and easy swayed by momentum.

This was about the broader message. While it comes with risk, I think it was shrewd strategy. If all our decisions going forward follow the same logic and strategy, I like our chances.
 
Manny’s going in a new direction. The new OC will need coaches that know and fit into that style. As long as Manny doesn’t hire relatives, I’m ok with this.

Hartley: ST awful. I also thing his recruiting legend has grown a little out of proportion. He was a very good recruiter but great? Who did he land other than Jordan and Mallory? He got a lot of kids to have UM in the final 3 but as for actually landing, who else? Legit question.

exactly, he was recruiting that Crowley kid then he decommitted. We’ll be fine.
 
Hartley was garbage. Dugans was solid, but Manny wants to let his new OC to have a say. I agree with him.

The receiver was also miserable, no separation (system sucks we know) and dropped more balls than any other Canes team that I remember.

It was the worst in UM history. Not even close either.

I was originally upset but we were 93rd and scored 3 points in the bowl game

Bring in Fedora and whoever the **** he wants. A top OC would want his own staff anyways and they would be WAY better. Who cares about positional recruiting when you're 7-6
