DTs and Jackson update - Tuesday 11PM

I heard Pete say R.J. got decent grades (2nd to 3rd-4th round). How did Norton grade out (can't imagine it was above 4)?

He may go 5th to 6th just cuz you get a "grade" doesn't guarantee your draft position it's a projection

Norton may not even get drafted

Who is advising these kids I don't know

This thread is hilarious. People upset at the DTs leaving, yet at the same time, whining about Jackson staying.

Jackson staying is a huge win. Even if we land Campbell, he'd still start. He was our best CB by far.

DL is a major worry, but jfc how could anyone be upset at Jackson staying?

**** these guys. Norton will be scrubbing toilets in three years.

Short sighted on both their behalf. Too bad. Maybe RJ does well eventually as a 3-4 DE, but he'll get rag dolled by NFL interior linemen. As far as 4th round grade goes, they aren't too expensive to not cut if taken in 4th. We'll see what happens.

Go Canes!

This team really had me fooled, thought they were building something special towards next year when in reality a quarter of them were counting the days before the end of the season to leave. All momentum is lost at the moment, hope the staff has something up their sleeves or back to 8-4 we go....thanks for the info Pete, as unfortunate as it may be.

Next season will defintiely be interesting to say the least, still doesn’t change the fact that we should* have enough talent to beat every team we play during the regular season regardless of these departures. We lost 11 (9 drafted) guys who made nfl rosters last year and still had a 10 win season

Be prepared for this:

DE

Joe Jackson
Demetrius Jackson
Jonathan Garvin
Scott Patchan
Gregory Rousseau
Andrew Chatfield

DT

Gerald Willis
Jon Ford
Pat Bethel
Nesta Silvera
Tyreic Martin
Tre Johnson (moved from OL)

DE depth is just as bad. D-Jax, Garvin and Jackson are the only proven commodities on the team. Patchan's had a couple of serious knee injuries. He needs to put on weight and stay healthy; definitely moving back to D-line by my guess. Rousseau will get plenty of burn this year. Chatfield's not even committed (and signed) so I can't even count him in yet.

Moving offensive linemen looks like the next step. When you have to do that, you know this unit is short handed.

Anybody who wants to put money on us going 8-4 next year just let me know.

I'll gladly take the over and your $

Average idiot in here, lives with their parents or 4 other losers and has credit card debt on foolish purchases, but a guy about to be paid in the nfl for a few seasons will be scrubbing toilets?
