DTs and Jackson update - Tuesday 11PM

Willis
Bethel
Ford
Silvera
Need 2 more dts(1 freshman and a juco guy

How times have changed. Been saying that since midway through the season.

Yeah, got to play with the hand that is dealt. We will see what happens

If you want Miami to get to the next level from this season, you can't go with that mentality. Someone posted in another thread what Ohio St. is working with on their D-line; that's what Miami should be striving for.
That ain’t my problem man, I think It’s dumb af for them to leave especially Norton but I’m not going to count another mans pockets either. You never know the situations that may be going on

Wish mike jack leaves this year, he has potential to rise in the draft process with his good tape outside of a few games this year, size, speed and production

Uhhhh......no.

Mike Jackson didn't get a good NFL grade. Hence why he's actually coming back.

Rarely does a player regress in his senior year.

Don't know what's up with our fans trying to usher quality players out the door. Then again, this is the same poster who swore up and down that Jobe was just enjoying the recruiting process and that he wasn't going to Bama.

If this news doesn’t get Michael Thompson in the sack Idk what will. Least we know there’s no way for Nesta to have second thoughts. We need a RJ DT though.

Heard on another site i believe that there was talk that Michael thompson was overrated and may have a higher ceiling on offense

Where am I criticizing them for leaving (even though I think it's foolhardy to leave when you're not ready)? A lot of our conversations, you often don't get the message that I'm clearly interpreting; that's something you need to work on. I'm a fan of this team, posting on here shows I'm committed to seeing how this team does and improves. This has nothing to do with the money they'd make.

This is a football discussion board discussing the state of this team. The state of our D-line now is an ungodly horse crap mess now. Which happens to be the most important unit in football.

I’m not saying you man just stating in general, I understand your concern too. They definitely got to do something down the stretch here

Willis - unreliable
Bethel - unproven
Ford - unproven
Silvera - freshman (yet to sign)
Need 2 more dts(1 freshman and a juco guy
Pretty disastrous situation given the intricate nature of the DT position (busts, injuries, etc.).

Be prepared for this:

DE

Joe Jackson
Demetrius Jackson
Jonathan Garvin
Scott Patchan
Gregory Rousseau
Andrew Chatfield

DT

Gerald Willis
Jon Ford
Pat Bethel
Nesta Silvera
Tyreic Martin
Tre Johnson (moved from OL)

Maybe we will see a lot more of djack at dt? Was solid there when rushing the passer.

Question, Real question....how many players can we now recruit?? I mean, this has been an exodus. If I’m a recruit, I’m jumping on board to come here if I’m a DL!

A guy like Chatfield and Silvera will get a lot of playing time based on depth alone

You actually have to attend classes & do school work at Miami. Georgia you do not.

Georgia gets two star RBS to come back after going 7-6, we can't even get our two solid dts to come back after the best year since 2003 or 2004. These guys are ******** us over for next year, sheesh.

This information has changed several times based on the last couple of reports on this. II’ll wait until they announce it
