Think we can land any of the DT's from the state of Georgia with Richt being here and him bringing Tracy Rocker? Apparently UGA's new coach hasn't reached out to the #1 player in the state Derrick Brown...DT, 6'4 295 freak....

Derrick Brown's primary Alabama recruiter is listed as Kirby Smart. Highly doubt he gets out of the state. If he does, have to think he would at least listen to our pitch, especially if we keep Rocker.

Seriously guys? The one thing that will improve is our DT recruiting- finally! I hope both things happen Tracy Rocker and a DT flip.

I read an interview today , his led recruiter is actually Bama DL.coach and that he hasnt heard from Smart at all since being hired..he doesnt even know Smart that well. I think he def loves UGA though.and will stay once he talks to smart. Rocker was his lead recruiter but i doubt he follows.

I'm an Auburn alum and played basketball for Sonny Smith. Tracy Rocker and his brother David were on the football team at the time. We have a mutual friend in Tracy Porter who told me Tracy was headed to Miami to be on Richts staff. The surprise was that he also said Tracy was going to be more than a D-Line coach. The surprise remains to be seen, but I do believe KP when he said that Tracy would be following Richt to Miami.

I could see Rocker coming here as more than a DL coach. He has that position now in the SEC... makes sense.

So can I, but I can't say with certainty. Tracy was a beast at Auburn back in those days with Andre Bruce and so many other good players. We can only hope that he brings that mentality to Miami.

Hopefully. Thanks for the information, and by the way, did you play with Barkley?

Whats up with the LSU 4star dt commit that apparently was high on UM but not previous scheme/coaches?

I think Miami eventually flips 2016 DT Ben Frazier who is currently committed to NC State.

Go Canes

You're welcome. To answer your question, no I didn't. I played after Chuck. I played with Chris Morris, Jeff Moore, Mike Jones, Matt Geiger(From Clearwater, Dustin Hester(Also from Florida), Derrick Dennison and others. My freshman year we made it to the Elite 8.

That's great... to be good enough to compete at that level in a sport. Thanks again and hopefully Rocker comes here with Richt.

That was a good team. Didn't Geiger transfer from GT?

We had a really good team and we should have and would made it to the Final Four if Jeff Moore hadn't broken his hand and we had to start Matt Geiger who was a freshman with me and our backup center. Stacy King was too much for him, but they still only beat us by 6 without our All-American center.

Matt transferred to Georgia Tech when Sonny left for VCU. His parents were NOT happy! Still aren't to this very day lol. I'm from Florida also. I went to Fort Pierce Central.
