DT Jared Goldwire update

What's so difficult to understand or are you just trolling people here.Just about everyone here thinks he's a top level DL coach but he's a god awful recruiter.Nothing more nothing less.

Kool was never known to an elite recruiter.

Has gone on record as saying he's not a fan of it.

Well recruiting is an important aspect of CFB. The elite teams have good coaches too, talent wins games.

He's the Assistant HC and one of the highest paid coaches on the roster so he should be an asset on & off the field.
But y’all acting like he’s terrible he’s landed multiple 4stars every signing class since he’s been at Miami

Yeah, nobody said he was a bad recruiter, just that he doesn't care for it and isn't elite at it.

Where he is ELITE is at identifying talent early on and developing it. Seems like he got on the Nesta train before everyone else. he was on Garvin early as well.

Rumph said the same thing last year with hating crooting part

Hate to do it to kool but maybe whoever the 10th coach is should help him with crooting and locking kids down

How does he not care for recruiting when he has landed 4 elite recruits in joe Jackson, Jon garvin, dj johnson, Nesta Silvera and two really good dlineman in ford and bethel?....

From his own mouth to your ears.

Again, he's not a bad recruiter. But compared to Oregeron or even Haggins? He's lost more battles than he's won. Fortunately for us, he's the best in the game at the actual coaching part, so it's really isn't that much of a deficiency.

So we have a month in half to go get some DT's and lock up Campbell ok lets see what we are made of.

Kul is an awesome DL coach who excels at teaching technique and getting the most out of players. He is also a great at evaluating talent early at a position where it is tougher than most because most kids aren't taught a **** thing about technique. But some of you guys act like Kul is a legendary household name in the college football world that top DTs will fall over themselves trying to play for year after year. It's not going to work that way. It will take a few years to layer and develop talent so it is as consistent and imposing as the elites are year-in and year-out. Let him do his thing.

You are comparing the best dline recruiter in all of football come on now. Kool was never known to be an elite recruiter but he was known to be the best coach

bruh thats what hes ******* saying.

Norton was considered a huge get on NSD.

No one was dismissing him.

Yeah, and when we got Norton, we were concerned about whether that staff could develop him. Now we are $truggling fighting to get the top flight DTs in so that a top flight line coach can develop them.

I have nothing to back me up on this theory, but it sure seems like DT is the highest priced position these days as the truly dominant ones typically end up at notorious bag schools like Bama, Taint and Clem$on, etc. Something has got to give. We have landed a few good ones in the trenches on the opposite side, but we need some stud DTs to step up.
