DT Frederic Sainteus Commits to Miami

Motor, Motor, Motor.

Give me DL who dont take plays off.

Our kids are big, strong, and athletic. But very very few have the motor that all our kids have had for 50, 60, 70 plays. For guys their size their VO2 must be unreal.

This kids seems to check that box off even in high school which is when move big kids can easily take plays off and get away with it.

Underappreciated trait that Mario looks for. DTs are so hard to project because most of them have a little (or a lot!) crazy and a little lazy in them.

Man U trippin! U see I said “ONLY FOR DA FEMALES “ u got me ****ed up BIG PAUSE
Dawg.... you know it's not any females on here.

You wanted all of us to know you be gyrating your hips everytime we get a commitment.

The quicker you take that L, the quicker we'll forget about this lil bro.

That's what sticks out to me. He plays hard, has the requisite size and can move.

Great take as a our 4th DT in the class.

@P-Tizzle and @Dwinstitles

After watching his highlights, which are extensive for a Dlineman, what are you seeing that makes you question his abilities? I don’t know what the verified height and weight are, and I never accept the listed numbers as accurate. But putting that aside, he seems to play very hard and strong. So assuming his height and weight are in the ball park of what is listed, what do you see that he is lacking.

I ask because I don’t think we should ever criticize, or praise, without stating our own reasons based on what we see with our own eyes. Not to say you are wrong in your criticism, but just asking for clarification to better understand it.
Look there are posters on here who will flip on the tape and know what they're looking at and there are posters who look at the star rating and who the player has offers from. Try to guess which one he is. LOL

Why are we upset be a big DT prospect that's only been playing for 2 years with a high upside that will be asked to transfer if he's not got the goods?

Welcome young man!

We should never be upset when you can get a commitment from a big, strong athletic kid who, as others have noted, had a strong motor as a player.
There aren't too many people, much less teenagers, roaming this planet with those attributes. If one has the opportunity you nab him.
Instead, people are way too focused on these so-called 4 and 5 stars.
Kudos to UM coaches and good luck to the young man.

In an earlier post, I mentioned the film and how it looked to me that his competition was really bad (and plus it’s a compilation of his “good” highlights, so of course it’s going to be impressive). Secondly, my comment about Samson wasn’t referring to when he was recruited but the past few years. The poster brought him up because he hasn’t transferred yet. And I responded by saying, “yeah, cause Samson was making more money from us to stay than he would have gotten from another team in the portal”. Several times in the past, D$ has said that Samson was well compensated by UM when others from the board questioned his desire to transfer since before this year he wasn’t getting any burn.

I’m not impressed by this kid. I’m allowed to have that opinion. And let’s be honest, neither you nor I have any clue about evaluating football players let alone DTs. So please spare me with your pretentious BS and clock back in at your shift at Kroger and clear the lot.
Yes, u are allowed to have your opinion.

The Miami Hurricanes landed one of the fastest-rising prospects in the state with the commitment of Naples (Fla.) St. John Neumann DL Frederic Sainteus.

The 6'4, 290-pounder is a native of Haiti and has only been playing football for two years. As a junior at Golden Gate, he made 71 tackles and registered 5.5 sacks in nine games. He transferred to St. John Neumann and has been off to a torrid start his senior year. Below are clips from his most recent performance:

Sainteus is considered a high-IQ prospect with impact upside. The staff has been evaluating senior tape to identify players with a steep enough trajectory to be difference makers in Miami's front, which is based upon physicality and twitch. Sainteus chose Miami over pushes from UF, FSU, Georgia, Ohio State and Michigan State. He also wrestles and competes in throwing events (46'4.25 shotput, 134'5 javelin, 122'10 discus).

Was behind him in line at the game Saturday and it sure seemed like he was enjoying it. Glad to see flipped. And he seemed like he was 6’4 275 already

This is a great pickup! All the measurables, athletic qualities and upside--needs coaching and development but high probability of contributing at a position of great scarcity and need. These types of players are hard to find, and if they work out elsewhere, they quickly become very expensive to acquire. I'd like to see three or four of this type (raw, overlooked, very high potential) at DT each year. Kudos to the staff!

I remember the HEAT a lot of folks took around here for agreeing for taking Rousseau and a lot of y'all were church mouse quiet in here once he balled. With going to 105 as long as the top is heavy with elite talent ion see a problem taking this kid

Welcome young man!

They don't know ball! I saw Saban sign so many overlooked and underrated kids especially on the DL and those kids would ball their freshman and sophomore seasons. An up and coming lineman, defense or offense, is what you want.

Facts. There was a guy on Shadow’s board, Bikki, who knew the Bama program and used to talk about how Saban would always find the three star IDL, especially the NG types. They were the anchor of the Bama defense. Not sure if Bikki posts here but he was a great poster.
