As much as I think Manny is an avg D-Coord, switching to a 3-4 makes a solutely no sense if you understand the two schemes and what the front 7 players are expected to do individually within them. We don't have the players to run it even if we wanted to.

Most of the LBs & DLmen up to the 16' recruiting class were recruited to play in a 3-4.

3-4 is what you run when you don't have quality depth for a 4-3.

IDGAD what anybody says, but Shaq & McCloud aren't 4-3 players...Shaq would be more effective as a 3-4 ILB, & McCloud would be more effective as a 3-4 OLB.

Now I'm not a fan of the 3-4, but the last staff doesn't have me shook to the point where I don't think it can be run better than that turnstile D they were running.
