Hayden Lowe sounds like a player, but he’s coming off injury as well.
I love Lightfoot, but he’s not an every down DE due to his size.
Pickett may be in the same boat as Lightfoot

Hopefully Cole McConathy can come off his injury and play.

Who replaces Blay?
We’d have Scott, Moten (hopefully), and Blount.

We have a few freshmen coming in, but we need to add starter worthy depth

Pickett, lightfoot, and Scroggins r behind 2 of the best DEs in the nation and have gotten better, bigger, and stronger every offseason and all got snaps last game. If nobody transfers out those guys will play plenty and be an every down DE at 240+.


I said if another DT doesn’t leave we don’t need 2 DTs. Scott replaces Blay. But, I digress, since they lost Simpson and Russell, they might need 2 DTs. Still got Jones who has been injured, and they r bringing in 5 DTs. I’ve watched a lot of film, if Simpson can get some pt at least 2 of those guys will.

DT: Scott, Moten, Blount, Jones, Portal DT, 5 Freshmen
Des: WDE- Scroggins, Pickett, Lightfoot, 2 Freshmen SDE: Lowe, McConathy, Portal SDE/3Tech.

So u can sit here and worry about depth, but it’s literally the exact same as this season. So I don’t see them taking 2 DTs or 2 DEs unless there’s some movement.

FYI we aren’t getting anybody as good as Bain and Mesidor, so y’all can get that out of yall heads.

I sure hope this is Mario chess. He's learned enough by now from past successes and failures not to have his targets already identified and in NIL discussions, don't you think? Especially at QB, WR and DL where only a few pieces that fit become available each portal?
