There doesn’t seem to be much info on DL needs.

There is a huge need for 2 DTs, especially since Simpson is gone.

With Bain and Mesidor off to the NFL, we’ll need at least 2 DEs.

Oh…and get Koi Perch at safety

Unless a starter intends to leave. UM does not need 2 DTs or DEs. We have plenty of DEs who have been developing, just need 1 SDE, and a DT to replace Simpson.
 
You can always use a stud Edge guy. This roster has depth (6 guys) but 2 are light in the pants and most are unproven. We just saw games the last few days showing how important the DL is.

Who is going to replace Blay?

We got Moten (hopefully), Scott, a 270lb Blount, along with some freshman who are all in the 250-270lb range right now.

Need two 300+ guys. We got 20 extra scholarships. Build out the depth

I stand corrected, I forgot Russell left as well. They’ll need 2 DTs. Blount is almost 280, he’ll be at least 290 next season. 290-310 is the perfect range for our DTs with 310 being on the higher end. None of the freshmans DTs are less than 270lb.

Also there is Jones who is 6’3 310. If he stays healthy he’ll contribute.

Another defensive lineman I'm getting some Miami buzz on is Gardner-Webb DE Antonio O'Berry. The 6-6, 240-pounder has 9.5 career sacks and 16.5 tackles for loss with two years of eligibility remaining. He's totaled 72 QB pressures over two seasons. He's going to the highest bidder and unfortunately at that weight, doesn't really fit what Miami does schematically.

Would be shocked if they bring in a DT listed over 315 from the portal.

Sahir West - James Madison

Jayden Woods - Florida

Trey White - SDSU

J’Dan Burnett - Tulsa.

I’m looking at some more possible fits. White would be a massive get.

Totally disagree
DE
Hayden Lowe sounds like a player, but he’s coming off injury as well.
I love Lightfoot, but he’s not an every down DE due to his size.
Pickett may be in the same boat as Lightfoot

Hopefully Cole McConathy can come off his injury and play.

This. We absolutely need a DE stud and a rotational DT.
