Face Looks like he belongs in the chess club.
But he plays with anger. Like the eval. But can we rip him away from that Larry Ellison money?

Gotta wonder why the kid wasn't offered already. Especially being a Texas DT with D.Lew calling shots.

Our nets just weren't that big this year at DT/DE/LB/S…At least in that Feb-July range. The previous two years we definitely seemed to cast a bigger net. We really must have been fooled into thinking we were landing some of these GA/Bama/Miss D-linemen

We offered a LOT of DTs, so not sure where that's coming from..

No this is totally incorrect.

I’m talking realistic offers. Not the “hey we’re interested” offers


And if your definition of “alot” includes those offers then when there was no traction with a good bit of them then more needed to be offered then more needed to be offered or taken off the back burner sooner. For instance why in the **** did they start ignoring Geralds? Did they really believe Lamar Brown was coming?

If you consider Bacon a DT and Noah Wilson a DT (both probably are but could play end)

Here is who offically visited:

Bacon
Kennedy
L brown
BPW
Stancil
J Johnson
Finch
N Wilson
F Wilson

Were the DT that visited. That’s nowhere near enough for one of your top 2-3 needs on the team. Who the **** are we to think we are just gonna waltz into SEC country and pull 3 or 4 of our top 8-10 targets. And it was pretty clear Kennedy was a plan B that was pivoted to (in a move we all seem to agree with) and of those (F Wilson) we clearly passed on.

We needed min 3, easily could have fit 4, with really no reasonable max with the move to 105 schollies

The kids we are “offering” now should have already been offered. When it was obvious the will Winfields and Guervils, etc weren’t interested the board should have expanded then.

They got overzealous with Brown, BPW, and Johnson. Ive thought the dt board was too small from then considering the main targets werent in areas we really should think are shoe ins. Especially a **** kid on lsu campus.

Im surprised we havent offered Domato Peko's son who is at Oak christian as well. I actually like the offer ont he kid from DE LA SALLE the poly kid.

But i really really like the 2 offers from yesterday. If they did inf act offer Logan Nagle he i sa kid that i tabbed a few weeks back as a kid i would offer if i were running things.

kennedy was a smart take. If you have guys like DAME LEWIS and JT who u think are developers.....give them those type of body types to work with moving forward.

We missed on a ton of players we can buy a DT. But as you said, Michigan Ellison ? Kind of a weird one to attack but this kid is a beast. That cooper and Russell money brown? We will see

smh, I mean you are basically saying unless they took an OV that we weren't in consideration, which is false. No idea why that is the only indicator of a "realistic offer".

Vodney Cleveland
Tomuhin Topui
Kamhariyan Johnson

... Those 4 were all visited relatively recently and some already had a scheduled OV or were in process of scheduling an OV with before they Committed. So obviously at MINIMUM those 4 should be added to your list of 9. That makes 13 just off rip.

Also not sure how much we were on Geralds/Guervil but wouldn't be surprised if we were/are on them enough to be "real offers". Who knows if we have been on Jermaine Kinsler at all or not. But it seems like a year ago we were on him. Regardless if we were on a guy and one of main contenders before his commits to A&M (a while ago) why does that eliminate him from being a real offer?

That'd make 16.... I mean at this point we're talking about we were on like 20% of all the top DTs lol

I’m talking official visits obviously. That’s why those players aren’t listed Einstein

And yes for 99% of recruits with Cooper being the outlier and even then he is a local and had been to campus what? 10 times this offseason alone? The official visits, are a good indicator of a recruit’s interest.

And no 13-14 is not enough offers when you need to land 3-4…And you know they. More should have went out AT THE LATEST weeks ago.

Yeah I know you’re talking about OVs. I’m saying that’s a dumb thing to use to say they weren’t on any other guys.
So because Cooper is local and CAN visit a lot it doesn’t matter that he hadn’t OVed. But a guy from far away that can’t come down often and it is more expensive for him to come, it doesn’t count when he comes all the way down here (and not as a part of a travel thing with his teammates or something)? lol. I mean I LITERALLY think those 3 scheduled OVs here, just never took them cause they ended up committing.

We have 2 commits. We were “ON” at least 10 more that were visiting… it seems we finished close for a lot of them. And imo we NEED to flip at least 1 of them that we missed on by NSD. Expanding the board is fine for getting the 4th guy. But the TOP guy has to be one of the guys we were already on plain and simple
