Drew Mestemaker

I commend Mestemaker’s loyalty to his coach. He certainly did not take the easy way out. Oklahoma State may be the worst team in the P4 and an underdog to a number of G5 teams.

Generally I would I say the people who know mechanics and coach and have knowledge deeper into football, knew that he likely wouldn't do out well vs stronger defenses and smaller windows.

Pushes the ball when he throws (which is very high school mechanics), relied on his running skills far too often which made DCs have one less guy in coverage, etc. His OC schemed guys open.

This seems to be the norm, there's a reason our coaches went after certain types of QBs, mainly the best in the NCAA 😂

I'll admit that I was interested in him but just based on the stats he put up. The one and only time I watched him play was the bowl game and I was not impressed at all. Skinny, pale, and unathletic. I moved on quick after that game.
If I posted that I wasn't interested in Lagway because he was fat, black and unathletic does that make me a racist?

For whatever it’s worth, the kid who had Mestemaker playing safety in HS is Duece Adams. Currently at Wisconsin, where Luke Fickell hasn’t even selected him to be the definitive backup qb. Left Louisville after they got Lincoln K. Battling it out with true freshman Ryan Hopkins from Mater Dei for the backup role.
