You’re right but we’d have him for 2 years. I think the most likely is gonna be Hoover or mastermaker. Okie state, IU and Miami are the front runners for those 2 guys imo.

Morris is the guy that found and developed him. He's going to a P4 school, which is a massive upgrade from the G6 school he was at. If he lights the world on fire next season (doubtful) he can still transfer to a 'big boi' for his Junior season.

OK St's rooster is pure garbage. Morris may have found and developed him but I'm reasonably certain that the training wheels aren't necessary at this point for the nation's passing leader. I'm sure that Morris still has much to teach the young man but all that value is greatly mitigated if Mestemaker has no one to throw to and no time to throw it to them with no running game to support him. Even with the portal it's going to take Morris time to get that rooster up to snuff. I can see the reason for your position and it's a reasonable position to take all things being equal but all things are not equal. We may have to agree to disagree on this one.
 
I think they said San Diego St.'s top 2 DEs are out, making things a little easier for him, but let's see what's up.

Greentree is the biggest stage, and he's very competitive.

8 months in our system should do him right.

Without a doubt. Here's Mestamaker against a common opponent, and what stands out to me is his calmness with the pocket collapsing.

He would eat behind our line and I can't imagine he hasn't been on our scouting team's radar througout the season.

If the rumors are legit and conversations with IU broke down over $$$, then you'd expect he already has a strong offer. Some program likely threw him a bag and said we'll beat anyone who matches.

 
How is IU even negotiating already? Not sure im buying high level talks are occurring for QBs with portal not even open. But then again, Cignetti is a special breed so he may be deep into this portal stuff with a game days away. I hope we are doing our due diligence We cant have a prolonged search for QB
