Dream scenario: Blake James to Richt: hire an OC or move on.

An AD hires a coach to run the football program. He should trust the coach HE hired. If James believes changes need to be made it starts at the top. That coach shouldn’t need to be directed.
True but it's not about being directed.Even pro coaches go and consult with former pro coaches like JJ.JJ himself back in the 80 s sent the coaching staff during the off season to the giants to see how they do business.it's about making yourself better as a coach

You all over complicate ****. James doesnt have to say anything to Richt. He simply needs to fire Jon Richt, publicly. He probably doesn’t even have a buyout so it cost nothing. After that, richt will quit. .
I was thinking the same thing, just go and fire Jon Richt without saying anything to Pops. Then when Pops storms into Blake James’ office, Blake says “sit down, shut up, or you are next on my list to fire”

That's simply not how it works at most programs though. A coach will usually* get a year to continue his stubbornness. Then based off that result he's either canned or has to relent to changes.

I'm not saying it's right or that's how we should proceed but prepare your sphincters for possibly 2 more years of this saga. Worst case is we suck next year. They don't fire Rick but force him to make staff changes (or he does it on his own as a preemptive *** saving)....and those changes suck. THEN we make the big change.
That's fine. UM better prepare for a spectacle that college football or no athletic department has ever seen. If they thought the banners were bad, then they truly are naive.
