The strength of SEC schedule is a joke. Y’all already know they over rank them before the season and then when they all lose to each other, it’s “quality losses”. Bull****. We should have been in the playoffs ahead of Bama 2 years ago and we were screwed and believe you me if UVA beat Duke, we were screwed again.

I’d rather see them fail in the regular season again, and the Manning for Heisman talk be another laughable event.

Now this is the real issue here, and Matt Hayes buried the lede. Sark admits he stopped voting in the polls because he doesn't have time to watch the games and it's not fair (good for him). But he goes on to throw the CFPC under the bus.

The committee doesn’t have the bandwidth to watch that many games,” Sarkisian said. “They see the media and coaches polls, and they copy them. You’ve got a 12-team playoff, and that means there are at least 30 teams that impact it. Now all of a sudden, you want to go to 24? Now the polls become an even greater factor, because now you’re asking (the committee) to watch 40 teams a week — if not 50.

Now CFP Executive Director Rich Clark denied this and assured us that OF COURSE THEY WATCH ALL THE GAMES. But we here at CIS discussed this ad nauseam last season and realized that they cannot not possibly watch all the games considering they also have FT jobs, and that ESPN feeds them highlights of the games, which they all watch together while eating snacks. Seriously.

I find this take bonkers. It's their literal job to watch the games - nobody is saying they have to watch all of the games by Sunday evening.

By the time the rankings come out (mid-October) they've had weeks and weeks to watch games and start formulating a tiering system.

There's literally no excuse.

Okay not only did we crush UF and hold them to 140 yards of total offense while they did whatever they wanted offensively against Texas and their so called “elite defense”, Texas got dog walked by Florida 6.5 DAYS after we demoralized and embarrassed The Gators. You can’t even make the whole “that was a different team at a different time etc etc” bs arguments ND tried to make towards the end of the season. It wasn’t even a full week from one game to the other.
