Down Goes Nebraska

At this point Neb should go after Urban Meyer. Back up the brinks truck, open the NIL playbook and offer the finest young coeds that Lincoln has to offer.

I legit thought he was going to do well there. Had the full support of the admin & fans. Wooof, boy was I wrong on that. To see Nebraska lose consistently in the waning moments is all on Frost. That’s not just bad luck, that’s the identity of the team.
I figured at some point, half of those one possession losses would eventually become wins but I was wrong also. Frost is in way over his head. It’s more than just bad luck. He’s corching.

Frost's story, like Tom Herman should really be a cautionary tale about jumping ship and moving up too quickly.

As far as historic programs are concerned, Miami, UF, FSU, Texas, USC, etc will always have a chance at relevancy because of their ability to recruit.

Even in their worst years they still bring in top 15 classes. Being in talent rich states like FL, TX, and CA will see to that.

Nebraska though is absolutely ****ed. They need an absolute magician to get that program going. Even with crazy resources.

They have no identity anymore besides what they did decades ago. Think of who/what Wisconsin is. Not saying Nebraska needs to go power run but they need to find something and stick to it.

I agree that he left UCF for the wrong job… he would have been annoying at UF, LSU, or even Tenn jobs that have come open since then…

Frost interviewed with Florida after they fired the shark humper, but Florida said the job was too big for Him. Which is hilarious because UF had their most success with a GO5 coach (Meyer), and a small school P5 coach (Spurrier). I think Frost would've done well at UF.

3 things people in Nebraska care about.
Their football team, college World Series, and corn.

I don't think I'm being dramatic when I say his tenure at Nebraska could be one of the most epic disasters in CFB coaching.
Also hard to feel bad for a guy that will be set for life after he gets canned.

I mean you gotta feel for them. They've had the Miami experience on steroids with no end in sight
They have no P5 recruiting base. They lost Texas when they moved to the B1G with no juice. That was always their downfall.

Oregon is in a similar position except they have Cali.

Frost killed his career by "Going home" to Nebraska. He is actually a great coach and a brilliant offensive mind and quality leader. NOBODY can win at Nebraska anymore. Those years are long gone. Frost should be the #1 OC on the market the second he is fired at NEB. I would fire Gattis and hire him ON THE SPOT and just leave him alone with the offense (Make sure to tell him you want the FAST Frost offense). He will KILL IT at any southern team he joins. Great coach, but NEB is a death sentence of a job, no better than places like Kansas at this point
LoL!!! Fire Gattis after 2-0 start and for what reason(s)?

Because there’s a better option. You fools seem to think every hire is great, sometimes it’s just what you were able to get at that time. Nick Saban hired Major Applewhite as his OC and made a change very quickly at Bama.

Why did Nick do that? Because it was needed and obv. Mario WILL MAKE CHANGES TO HIS STAFF. So when that happens, some of you droids will possibly realize that it is a part of the process. Saban has gone through a NUMBER of CO’s in order to get his O to where it needdd to be and he also had to adjust his philosophy and take risks outside of his own conservative style of play.

Homers gonna home-up….
