So you want a guy who was fired mid-season from KU? Leaving TCU to be the OC at KU is also about as dumb a decision as it gets. That's right up there with hiring NO D.

Another reason to hire him;

He's a risk taker! He could have stayed at TCU and padded his resume, but he went the AGGRESSIVE route to try to build something.

Admirable, IMVHO.

He got fired from Kansas.
The majority of coaches have been fired at some point in their career. Taking on a big challenge like KU football doesn't disqualify someone from future consideration. Some of you will find fault if Sean Payton were named OC.
